HUNT BLACK BEARS IN THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA

The Pennsylvania Bear Season is a 3 day Season starting November 24th to the 26th.  In Pennsylvania it is illegal to bait or to use hounds on a Bear hunt.  The Outfitter hunts mostly by drives, placing the hunters on stand while the guides do the walking, you can expect to do 4-5 drives each day. 

The last few years they have had a 25% success rate which is very high for Pennsylvania, and each person in camp has seen Bear.  Last year they flushed many Bear and harvested two, one at 372 lbs and the other 257 lbs. 

The cost of the hunt is $700, and includes all of your meals while at camp, breakfast in the morning, a bag lunch, and dinner back at camp.  You will have to purchase a PA hunting license and a Bear tag.  The Outfitter would like you to show up on the day before the season starts to go over everything and get you a room at their lodge.
